Labor Compliance Pros, LLC (herein called “the Company”), is a consultation agency servicing firms across the nation. Additionally, we are an SBA Certified Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) that has Ohio state Minority Certification as an Affirmative Action Program (AAPV). Ownership consists of a team with over 30 years in the construction industry. Beginning in 2018, our focus shifted more to the Labor Compliance portion of construction projects. Our firm teams with Subcontractors and Awarding Bodies to ensure all employees on Public Works, Section 3, and Davis Bacon Projects are paid accurately and all documents submitted are true and correct. We pride ourselves in protecting firms from financial harm and liquidated damages through our monitoring and submission processes. Through consistent communication with our clients and their tiered subcontractors, we confirm due diligence has been performed to meet the requirements of and on all Section 3, M/W/D/VBE, PLA, MAPLA, Federal, and Prevailing Wage projects.
Our lead staff involved in company operations and project oversight are Melanie Bradford and Jerry Bradford. Melanie Bradford, President, has early experience in residential construction from the 1990s to the early 2000s. In the beginning of 2015 she became involved in all aspects of commercial construction with a focus on Labor Compliance. Honesty and ‘out of the box’ thinking allows Melanie to exceed industry requirements when it comes to construction project compliance. She prides herself in supporting clients and communicating clear standards to monitor and enforce percentages, ratios, and participation goals are met when it comes to Skilled and Trained Workforce, Journeyman to Apprentices, and Outreach Efforts to employ MWBE/VOB, and Low Income Residents.
Jerry Bradford, Vice President, brings to the table 30 years of expert knowledge in the areas of small business and IT corporate business development, management, and leadership.
Jerry’s entrepreneurial spirit began early. Whilst in school, he gained experience in commercial construction as a Finish Framer and Journeyman Drywall Installer. In the 90s Jerry partnered to start Homewerks LLC, a property maintenance company. With its success, he branched out on his own and began a sole proprietorship with Elbow Grease Management, another property maintenance and management company focused on residential and commercial properties. Mr. Bradford is also experienced with and has an ever-growing grasp of Prevailing Wage and Davis Bacon which allows him to support LCP’s clients in an unparalleled manner. As the firm’s co-founder and Vice President, Jerry draws from his experience to not only effectively service the needs of LCP’s clients, but also continue to maintain LCP’s steady growth, development, and corporate operations. Jerry understanding of business and the labor force alike allows him to perform a range of tasks that ensure company productivity, efficiency and branding including implementation of strategies to increase marketing, ambassadorial efforts and maintain strong relations with clients.
